Bank CIMB Niaga supports Indonesia Goes Saving movement and My Savings
Jakarta – PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (“CIMB Niaga”) took part in an effort to promote the BI-initiated Indonesia Goes Banking movement and My Savings product. The initiative aims to increase the number of people depositing money in Indonesian banks.
As with the successful previous launch of Tabanas (National Development Savings Account), My Savings was introduced to the Indonesian public simultaneously all over the nation. For the greater Jakarta area, the promotion of the Indonesia Goes Saving movement and the launch of My Savings took place on 20-21 February 2010 at the Jakarta Fair ground, led by the president of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
With a "My Savings My Future" tagline, My Savings is expected to offer an excellent product that would encourage Indonesians to save money for their own future. Available to all people of Indonesia, the product can help them have a better life.
Suhaimin Djohan, CIMB Niaga’s Retail Banking Director, said, “In order to help the society to adopt the culture of saving money, working with commercial/Islamic banks and commercial/Islamic rural banks, CIMB Niaga supports the Indonesia Goes Saving movement and sells My Savings to its customers. No administrative charges are applicable for My Savings, so people will have the image that saving money is easy and gives them benefits."
Similar events are also organized outside Jakarta and nearby regions. All CIMB Niaga branches take active part in coordinated promotion efforts and support the national product and movement launch organizing carnivals and scholarship programs.
